Having bought the Maverick Magic to Ooty, goMAD Festival was back in 2013 with an aim to take creativity and talent to one of the most exotic getaways in the country. The buzz, appreciation and an encouraging growing online community led to yet another phenomenal episode making goMAD Festival a mainstay in the Indian Festival Calendar. Chapter 2 of the festival saw music connoisseurs being served with quality and variety from world class acts such as Jeremiah Ferrari (UK), Sabelo Mthembu (South Africa), Virginia Martinez (South America), Noori (Pakistan), Parikrama, Agam, Shobhana Dance Company, Balabhaskar, Girish & the Chronicles, The Vinyl Records, Lagori, Parvaaz, Baiju Dharmajan Syndicate, F16’s, Nasi Campur, UNK: Radha Thomas Assemble, Sonam Kalra and the Sufi Gospel Project, etc. In addition to the entertainment, surreal experiences, drum jams, scrumptious food, idyllic camping settings and irresistible watering holes left audiences soaring on music and high on life.
A heady mix of music, art, dance and an idyllic destination, resulted in a delightful getaway and a MAD experience for many to indulge in soul stirring performances from some of the best talent from around the world. Artists like Indian Ocean, Swarathma, Thermal & a Quarter, The Raghu Dixit Project, Moonarra, Hindi Zahra (France), No Blues (Amsterdam), Indialucia (Poland), La Pongal, Bicycle Days, Krar Collective (London), Isha Sharvani, Nritarutya, Benny Dayal, Avial, Slain and many more artistes provided the festival attendees with unparalleled entertainment across the two stages. At the crossover of these stages was a bar in the woods, food courts, kids play area, pet friendly zone, a repertoire of workshops and a MAD Bazaar with around 15 stalls brimming with unique, innovative, quirky products made by creative individuals from around the country.
